Advocates of work-life balance say that we need to allocate enough time for our personal and leisure lives.
But life is not that simple.
Life demands that we put in the time needed to meet and exceed the expectations of our stakeholders.
Life demands that to succeed we need to learn more than, work harder than and do better than others.
In an office where no one is working hard enough, the one who does will get ahead. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
Convince yourself that work takes precedence. Enjoy yourself by increasing your leisure time now – only to be miserable in the future.
If you want more personal time: Don’t “ALLOCATE” time from work. CREATE the time you need with Time management and productivity tools. Then, and only then, can you meet your obligations to yourself and your work.
