The plain secret of motivation is that you should NOT be motivated by others.

Many professionals complain that their work is not up to par because they are not motivated by their superior. They say their immediate boss:

  • steals credit for their work
  • does not give clear instructions
  • is always finding blame
  • keeps changing policies and directions
  • doesn’t know how to motivate them

These professionals are of course very wrong!

Don’t allow your work to be substandard or jeopardize your career because of an inefficient superior or for that matter anybody. Take your career development into your own hands. Be a self-charged dynamo from within. Don’t leave your fate in the hands of how others treat you.

The plain secret of motivation is that you should motivate yourself.
